Ruby Oolong is a whole-leaf tea designed to release its full flavor in a few minutes. Here's how to brew it:
-
Heat water to 180–200°F (85–93°C). Just below boiling — full boil can scorch the leaves and turn the flavor bitter.
-
Steep one tea bag for 3–5 minutes. Less time gives a lighter, sweeter cup. More time pulls out a bolder flavor.
-
Add lemon or honey if you'd like — both pair well with the natural honey-scented sweetness.
-
For iced oolong: brew as above, let cool, then pour over ice.
