When is the best time to drink your tea?

Last updated on Apr 25, 2026

Each tea has different effects, so there are different sweet spots in the day. Here's our suggested rotation:

  1. Ruby Oolong — morning, midday, or afternoon. With 30–45mg of caffeine per cup, oolong is gentle enough to drink throughout the day. Many customers have a cup with breakfast for steady energy or in the afternoon as a coffee alternative.

  2. Hibiscus — any time, including evening. Caffeine-free, so it won't disrupt sleep. Great as a soda replacement during the day or a warm wind-down cup at night.

  3. Ceremonial Matcha — morning. Higher caffeine combined with L-theanine gives 4–6 hours of calm, sustained energy. Best earlier in the day to avoid affecting sleep.

You can also mix and match — for example, matcha in the morning, oolong midday, and hibiscus in the evening for a full daily ritual.
