What do I do if my payment is declined?

Last updated on Apr 25, 2026

If your card was declined at checkout, it's almost always one of three things. Try these in order:

  1. Check your billing address. Your billing address must match the one on file with your card issuer. Even a small mismatch (apartment number missing, zip code typo) can trigger a decline.

  2. Try again or use a different card. Banks sometimes flag online purchases as fraud, especially first-time orders with us. Either retry the same card (your bank may approve on the second attempt) or use a different payment method.

  3. Check your available balance. Insufficient funds — including holds from other recent purchases — can trigger a decline even if your account looks fine.

  4. Contact your bank. If none of the above work, call your card issuer using the number on the back of your card. Tell them you're trying to make a purchase from PiPi Tea and ask them to approve it.

If you've tried all of the above and the card still won't go through, email us at support@pipitea.com with the order details and we'll help.
